    Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about voice-based Naam Jap practice and privacy.

What is Naam Jap and how does the voice counter help?

Naam Jap is the sacred, mindful repetition of the Divine Name (such as Radha, Shri Ram, Hare Krishna, or Om Namah Shivaya). This hands-free voice counter counts each repetition as you chant aloud, allowing you to immerse completely in devotion, breath, and meditation without touching your phone screen or clicking buttons.

Is my voice audio recorded or stored on any server?

No. Audio is processed completely on your own device in real time. We do not record, store, or transmit your voice audio to any server. Your sadhana count, daily streaks, and target history remain 100% private in your device browser storage.

How can I ensure accurate counting when chanting aloud?

For best counting accuracy, chant at a steady, peaceful rhythm in a relatively quiet room. Make sure your pronunciation language is selected in the language dropdown (such as Hindi, Indian English, Gujarati, etc.). For seamless counting while commuting or in noisy environments, standard wired earphones or earbuds with a mic provide crystal-clear detection.

Can I practice if my device or browser does not support microphone access?

Yes. If microphone access is unavailable or you prefer silent contemplation, our dedicated Touch & Auto Counter provides a serene, distraction-free tapping interface with Focus (Zen) mode and Stealth dark screen support.

How are my daily practice goals and streaks calculated?

Your daily count automatically resets at midnight based on your local device clock. Completed counts are preserved in your lifetime sadhana statistics, and maintaining at least your daily target (default 108) across consecutive days increments your active streak record.

Can I use this counter for Ram, Krishna, Shiva, Hanuman, or Waheguru chanting?

Yes. Naam Jap Voice Counter supports presets for Radha Naam, Shri Ram, Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra, Om Namah Shivaya, Hanuman Chalisa, Gayatri Mantra, Waheguru Simran, or your personal Guru Mantra in any language.

Can I count without speaking if I am in a public place or traveling?

Yes. You can switch to Touch & Auto Counter mode for silent tactile tapping, or use Auto-paced counting with a gentle metronome when you want to meditate quietly without speaking aloud.
